Managing Forests and Open Land for Deer-Early Successional Wildlife Habitats with Terry Johnston

A free workshop on managing your forests and open land for early successional wildlife habitat will be offered on May 7, 2024, at the Lincoln Parish Library in Ruston, Louisiana.  This workshop will provide information on using best management practices to improve wildlife habitat, with a focus on white-tailed deer.  Biologist Terry Johnston will discuss conservation practices that will ensure the establishment of plants that will provide a quality food source for wildlife.  He will share advice on these practices, as well as his personal experiences managing land for deer.

On-site registration begins at 5:15 p.m. on May 7, 2024, at the Lincoln Parish Library, 910 North Trenton Street, Ruston, Louisiana, with Johnny’s Pizza.  The workshop begins at 6:00 p.m. and concludes at 7:30 p.m.  To pre-register or for more information on the workshop, call or text (318) 237-8350 and provide your contact information and name of workshop.
