I need to just make a post where I write, get off some thoughts, because I have so many things that I want to write about, that I can not decide what is the most important thing

Also, I’m still figuring this stuff out. How to write, how to make things appear correctly. It slows down my output for now, but I hope that once I figure these things out, I’ll be effective and fast at making new posts.

Writing for everyone is weird – Challenge accepted

For whom do I write? I want to write about complex things, but also teach things from the ground up. Am I writing for Muslims? For Truth seekers? For Western People?

Whats the Topic? I want to write about Technology, but also not at all. I want to talk about truth, morale, religion, believes, philosophical concepts, Game theory (in the mathematical sense), Game ideas which I have, I want to make funny videos, use sarcasm and jokes. But these might be distracting and should be kept for specific posts. Do I write in advanced English, or simple English? It’s not exactly easy to decide these things!

Please write comments

Please do me a favour and write comments if you feel like it. Ignore the email field, just enter whatever. I don’t know how to disable it for now. Before your comment is published, I have to approve it. If you want it to stay private, mention it and I won’t publish it. When there are comments it feels less like writing into the uncertainty, but makes it feel much more like I am writing it for someone specific. It also gives me a better understanding of who is reading, and which things should be clarified further.

Game Ideas

Game 1: PAthfiler

There are some Game Ideas which I have in mind which I quite like.

An Escape Room that’s played entirely in the file explorer. You open files and collect clues, and you assemble passwords which unlock/decrypt folders which act as the levels of the game. This essentially removes the entirety of the developing process, as the game engine, i.e. the file explorer, is already made. I could focus entirely on the puzzles themselves, and since the hints are hidden in files, there is a lot of flexibility in what I can do. Use images, text, videos, all kinds of medias. everything could be a hint… or a distraction. I think this is quite a unique concept

Game 2: File Explorer Explorer

Game Idea 2: Using the File explorer as the graphical interface of a game. Basically, you have a file explorer window with e.g. 10*7 icons. To update the view, the old icons are deleted and new icons are moved into the folder. It’s basically a tile based game which is written in bash (the scary black terminal window’s language) and which is using the file explorer as it’s graphical interface. I think both of these concepts are quite rare and unique on their own, let alone combining the two. The question is if it will work. I’ve tried it and the update speed might be a problem. Also the issue of resizing (you need to have the window and the icons set to the right size, although a script might be able to handle that automatically. The third thing is to code it. I don’t know if bash would work, even for a simple game, because it really isn’t made for this at all (handling game logic, that is). Perhaps the “heavy lifting” could be offloaded to a python script (imagine using python for heavy tasks (it’s notoriously slow and bad for games)), which then only calls a bash script which the updates the view (by moving some files).

Thoughts?

Game 3: Vimpossible Combat

Game idea 3: Have you heard of Vim? Any Vim enjoyers? Did someone torment you with memes, jokes and incessant reminders to use vim? Well, my turn for it now. But first, a confession. I don’t even use vim myself (yet). I know I should, but I don’t. And this is exactly why I like the idea for this following game. What even is Vim, you might ask? Video Importer? ViMoveU, a moving company? The noise of an engine? No, it’s simple a text editor which let’s you move through text faster… but it needs some getting used to. (You exit it with “:q” btw)

But now imagine that you could learn how to use vim by playing a game. Better yet, a game which you can play on the side while doing other things. You’d have something to keep your hands busy (which is something I quite like myself), you’d be getting better at the game itself, and also at vim. And by getting better at the game itself, you’d also be getting better at vim, which can drastically improve your productivity if you’re typing a lot.

So what would this game look like? Basically, imagine this. your movement resembles the movement of the vim cursor. move single fields, the whole row etc. then you can attack enemies that appear by deleting them, i.e. deleting a word. or deleting a whole row etc. Perhaps there can be multiple screens so that you learn to navigate through a file as well. the gameplay is basically to learn to move around and do things. Perhaps you delete single characters which corrupt your ressources, or need to “attack” whole words. Perhaps you also have to type words in order to perform certain actions like rebuilding a structure or gain resources. This is somewhat vague but I think the idea is really neat. Then things can get harder as you can get better. Of course you start out slow, and then the longer you last, the harder it gets. The result might be some people playing the game at a very high level and basically just hammering away at their keyboard executing vim actions (and therefore also being able to do so when editing actual text). The perks of having a game’s skill aspect tied to an actual skill

Some things about me

I like cycling and I want to help you to get into it because it’s a very valuable ability

I don’t like technology or coding. The moment I open something related, I get this sense that I’ll be staring at a screen for quite some time instead of walking through the forests or doing something else that’s pleasent and healthy.

Motto: Seek the truth, speak the truth

I get a lot of thoughts and idea, so I am thinking about making a “daily thoughts” kind of post, where I just write away. Not much structure, no sophistication, no pictures. Just my texts, my thoughts. To possible order them sometime in the future (Or ideally have someone else do it for me)

I recently cleaned up my photos and videos (well, I’ve tried to), and want to share how that went, how to do it, what I learned, and what not to do in the future.

I’m looking for a wife and I think I will try some Muslim dating websites (that do it the proper way) so that I can report how it went
