Soil Health: Impacts of Rain on the Soil – Rainfall Simulator

Healthy soil ensures clean air and water, ample crops and forests, productive grazing lands, diverse wildlife, and beautiful landscapes. Agricultural producers in Louisiana gathered on a very cold day at a neighbor’s farm to learn how to improve the health of their soil. Rachel Stout-Evans, Soil Scientist with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, offered workshop attendees a glimpse of how to unlock the secrets of healthy soil.

Trailblazer RC&D produced three videos using excerpts from this workshop: Soil Stability, Soil Health Principles, and Impacts of Rain on Soil. This video is on the Impacts of Rain on Soil.
